The soul's night language speaks wisdom beyond words
By Paul Wagner
Affirmation
""I trust the wisdom that comes through my dreams and honor my soul's night language.""
Look, here's something I learned after thirty years of working with people's dreams: they're not just random brain firing. Not even close. Dreams are your soul's way of processing what your conscious mind can't quite handle during the day. They're like... think of them as your inner spiritual teacher working the night shift.
I've had clients come to me completely baffled by their dreams. "Paul, I dreamed I was flying through a library made of light, and my grandmother was there teaching calculus to purple elephants." Sounds crazy, right? But here's the thing: every single element in that dream carries meaning. The flying? That's about freedom, transcendence. The library of light? Knowledge illuminated by spirit. Grandmother? Ancestral wisdom. Even those purple elephants... they're about remembering what seems impossible but carries deep truth.
The Tao Te Ching talks about how "the sage is guided by what he feels and not by what he sees." Dreams are pure feeling-wisdom. They bypass your logical mind completely and speak directly to your intuitive knowing. In Advaita Vedanta, we understand that consciousness doesn't sleep, even when the body does. Your awareness continues its work, processing, integrating, showing you what needs attention.
Truth is, most of us have been taught to dismiss our dreams. "Oh, it was just a dream." But honestly? Some of my most deep spiritual insights have come through dreams. I once dreamed I was sitting with an old tree that spoke in colors instead of words. Sounds nuts, but that dream taught me more about non-verbal communication than years of study.
Here's what's interesting: dreams often show us our resistance patterns. You know those dreams where you're trying to run but your legs won't move? Or you're late for something important but everything keeps going wrong? Those aren't just anxiety dreams. They're showing you where you're fighting the flow of life, where you're trying to force instead of allowing.
The spiritual dimension of dreams goes way deeper than psychology. Dreams can be visitations, messages from guides, glimpses into parallel possibilities. I've had clients receive healing in dreams, get answers to prayers, even connect with loved ones who've passed. Are you with me? This isn't woo-woo stuff. This is consciousness exploring its infinite nature.
But here's what most people miss: dreams aren't just about receiving messages. They're also about releasing what no longer serves. Ever wake up from a really intense dream feeling emotionally drained but somehow lighter? That's your psyche doing cleanup work, processing old emotions, clearing energetic debris.
The key is learning to work with your dreams instead of just experiencing them passively. Start paying attention to recurring themes. If you keep dreaming about water, what's that telling you about your emotional state? If you're constantly lost in dreams, where in waking life do you feel directionless?
Think about that. Your dream life is as much a part of your spiritual path as your meditation practice or your prayers. It's consciousness exploring itself through symbol, metaphor, and pure experience. Wild, right?
Tonight, before you sleep, set a clear intention. Not just "I want to remember my dreams," but something specific like "Show me what I need to release" or "Help me understand my next step." Keep a notebook by your bed. Seriously. When you wake up, don't move. Don't check your phone. Lie still for a moment and let the dream images surface.
Write down everything you remember, no matter how weird or fragmented. Don't try to interpret right away. Just capture it. Colors, feelings, people, objects, conversations. All of it matters. Here's a trick I learned: if you can't remember the whole dream, focus on the feeling it left you with. That emotional residue often carries the main message.
Once a week, read through your dream journal and look for patterns. What symbols keep showing up? What emotions are recurring? What situations repeat themselves? Your unconscious mind will start recognizing that you're paying attention, and your dream recall will improve dramatically.
Before sleep, try this simple practice: place your hand on your heart and say, "I'm open to receiving whatever wisdom wants to come through tonight." Then let go. Don't force it. Trust that your consciousness knows exactly what you need to see, feel, or understand. The more you honor your dreams, the richer and more meaningful they become.
When Dreams appears in your reading, it's time to pay attention to your inner wisdom. Something important is trying to reach you through your unconscious mind. Maybe you've been ignoring subtle messages, or perhaps you're about to receive a significant insight through your sleep state.
This card suggests that answers you've been seeking won't come through thinking harder, but through allowing your intuitive mind to work. Your logical brain might be overanalyzing a situation that needs to be felt rather than figured out. Dreams is asking you to trust the wisdom that emerges when you're not trying so hard to control the process.
If you've been having vivid or unusual dreams lately, this card confirms they're spiritually significant. Don't dismiss them as "just dreams." Your soul is communicating something vital. Pay attention to recurring symbols, emotions, or themes. They're pointing toward what needs your attention in waking life.
Dreams can also indicate it's time to release old patterns or beliefs that are playing out in your unconscious mind. What keeps showing up in your sleep that mirrors your daily struggles? This card reminds you that healing happens on multiple levels, including the symbolic area of dreams.
What recurring dream symbols have appeared in my life, and what might they be trying to tell me?
How can I create more space to receive and honor the messages from my unconscious mind?
What situation in my life would benefit from dream wisdom rather than logical analysis?
