Your bank account is a karmic printout. Not because the universe rewards good people with money - that is prosperity gospel nonsense. But because your inherited patterns around worth, safety, and power determine what you allow yourself to receive.
- Paul Wagner
Money Is Not What You Think It Is
Let me be direct: your relationship with money has almost nothing to do with money. It has everything to do with worth, power, safety, and the karmic patterns you inherited around all three.
Some of you are carrying poverty consciousness from ancestors who survived famine, war, or displacement. The scarcity is not yours - it is theirs, compressed and transmitted through the lineage until it landed in your nervous system as a baseline anxiety about having enough.
Some of you are carrying abundance guilt from ancestors who exploited others to accumulate wealth. The discomfort you feel around having money - the way you sabotage yourself every time you start to succeed - is not a character flaw. It is ancestral karma trying to correct an imbalance that happened generations before you were born.
And some of you are carrying both simultaneously. Scarcity and guilt, fighting each other in your energy field, creating a paralysis that looks like laziness or lack of ambition but is actually a karmic stalemate.
The Three Financial Karmic Patterns
In my work with thousands of clients, three financial karmic patterns appear with striking regularity.
The Leak: you make money but cannot keep it. It flows out as fast as it flows in - through unexpected expenses, bad investments, generosity that crosses into self-abandonment, or spending patterns that feel compulsive. The karmic root is usually a belief that you do not deserve to accumulate, often inherited from ancestors who were punished for having too much.
The Ceiling: you can earn up to a certain amount but never beyond it. Every time you approach the ceiling, something happens - you get sick, you lose a client, you make a mistake, you pick a fight with someone important. The karmic root is usually a fear of visibility or power, often inherited from ancestors who learned that standing out was dangerous.
The Desert: you cannot seem to generate money at all. Opportunities dry up. Efforts produce nothing. It feels like the universe is actively blocking your prosperity. The karmic root is usually a deep vow of poverty or renunciation from a past life - particularly common in people who have had monastic or ascetic incarnations.
Beyond Manifesting
The manifesting industry has done enormous damage to people's understanding of money and karma. The idea that you can think your way to wealth - that positive affirmations and vision boards will override karmic patterns that have been building for lifetimes - is not just wrong. It is cruel. Because when it does not work, people blame themselves for not believing hard enough.
Here is the truth: you cannot manifest past your karma. You can only work with your karma to change what is possible. And that work is not glamorous. It is not a weekend workshop. It is the slow, honest, sometimes painful process of identifying the inherited patterns, feeling the charge they carry in your body, and releasing them through practice, ceremony, and conscious choice.
Does this mean you are doomed to repeat your ancestors' financial patterns? No. It means you have to do more than think positive thoughts. You have to actually address the karmic architecture underneath your relationship with money. And when you do - when you trace the pattern to its root and release the charge - the external circumstances shift with a speed that will astonish you.
