Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe. Approximately seventy-five percent of all baryonic matter is hydrogen. Every star begins as hydrogen. Every element heavier than hydrogen was produced from hydrogen through nuclear fusion. Hydrogen is the cosmic raw material - the prima materia, the unprocessed potential from which the entire periodic table of elements is derived. The cosmos is overwhelmingly composed of potential. The actualized elements - the carbons, the oxygens, the irons, the golds - are the minority. The potential - the hydrogen that has not yet been fused into something more complex - is the vast majority.
This ratio - seventy-five percent potential to twenty-five percent actualized - holds a teaching that the spiritual seeker needs to hear. The cosmos is mostly potential. The actualized is the minority. The processed is the exception. The unprocessed is the rule. You are not behind. The vast majority of the cosmos's material has not yet been processed into complex form. The vast majority of your consciousness's potential has not yet been processed into realized awareness. And the not-yet-processed state is not a failure. It is the natural condition. It is the state that seventy-five percent of the cosmos occupies. The potential is not the problem. The potential is the abundance. The potential is what makes everything else possible.

Shankaracharya describes Brahman as infinite potential - the unmanifest ground from which all manifestation arises. The hydrogen of the cosmos is the material expression of this infinite potential. The cosmic abundance of hydrogen - its overwhelming preponderance in the material inventory - is the physical demonstration of the Vedantic teaching that potential is primary and manifestation is secondary. The cosmos does not lack potential. The cosmos overflows with it. And the overflow - the vast, seemingly empty, unprocessed ocean of hydrogen that fills the interstellar medium - is not the cosmos's deficiency. It is the cosmos's wealth. The wealth of what has not yet been created. The wealth of what has not yet been expressed. The wealth of what the future furnaces will transform. Into new stars. New elements. New bodies. New consciousnesses. From the hydrogen that the cosmos provides in inexhaustible abundance. Explore more in our hidden knowledge guide.

Your Unprocessed Potential Is Your Wealth
You are mostly unprocessed. The karmic material that has been fully processed - the samskaras that have been dissolved, the vasanas that ha I remember sitting in a quiet room, my breath ragged, my body trembling from a release exercise I was guiding, when it hit me hard: potential isn’t just out there in the universe. It’s right here, inside the nervous system, in that raw, unprocessed tension waiting for transformation. After decades in tech, I’d learned to chase results like a junkie, but this moment cracked my fixation - the real work is holding space for what hasn’t formed yet, not rushing to make it neat. I’ve seen it over and over in my readings. Folks come in carrying all this ‘actualized’ pain, trauma, identity, and I can feel the hydrogen beneath it—as if their true essence is a vast reservoir of what could be, not what is. Amma’s hugs taught me that presence before form matters more than anything else. Sometimes the breakthrough isn’t in the story told, but in the pregnant silence of potential waiting to be acknowledged.ve been burned through, the identifications that have been seen through - represents a fraction of the total karmic inventory. The vast majority remains unprocessed. Not because you have failed. Because the processing takes time. Cosmic time. Incarnational time. The time that the stellar furnace requires to transform hydrogen into helium into carbon into iron. Hang on, it gets better. You are at whatever stage of the processing your soul's trajectory has reached. And the unprocessed material that remains is not your deficiency. It is your fuel. It is the karmic hydrogen that will power the next incarnation, the next processing cycle, the next stage of the transformation that the cosmos is conducting through you.
Do not resent your unprocessed material. The unprocessed material is the guarantee of continued expression. Without fuel, the star goes dark. Without karmic material, the incarnation has no curriculum. The material that you have not yet processed - the wounds you have not yet healed, the patterns you have not yet seen through, the identifications you have not yet released - is the fuel for the fire that is doing the transforming. The fire needs the fuel. The transformation needs the material. And the material, far from being a burden, is the resource. The cosmos's most abundant resource. Hydrogen. Potential. The raw material from which everything that will ever exist will be produced. Including the realized consciousness that the processing is designed to produce. From the potential that the cosmos provides. In abundance. Because abundance is what the cosmos does. Because abundance is what Brahman is. Because the infinite, expressing through the finite, provides the finite with more potential than the finite can process in a single incarnation. Guaranteeing the continuation. Guaranteeing the next incarnation. Guaranteeing the next opportunity. To process. To transform. To burn the hydrogen into helium. To burn the karma into wisdom. One furnace at a time. One incarnation at a time. One lifetime of processing at a time. In the cosmos's abundant, inexhaustible, seventy-five-percent-unprocessed supply of the raw material of transformation. Paul explores this deeply in The Electric Rose.
Most of us are not getting enough sunlight, a quality Vitamin D3+K2 supplement is essential. *(paid link)* Seriously, we've become cave dwellers with smartphones. Our ancestors got their vitamin D the old-fashioned way ~ walking around outside, working in fields, actually living under the sky. Now we're indoors 90% of the time, slathered in sunscreen when we do venture out, wondering why we feel like shit half the year. The irony is brutal. We have more access to information about health than any generation in history, yet we're more disconnected from the basic energy source that powers all life on this planet.
