Not a spa weekend. Not a group lecture. A genuine immersion into stillness, held by 30 years of practice in the Colorado mountains.
The Ascent Within is a meditation retreat in the Colorado Rocky Mountains led by Paul Wagner, a clairvoyant reader and spiritual teacher with 30+ years of practice. Unlike large commercial retreats, this is an intimate gathering combining silent walking meditation, breathwork, energy clearing, and one-on-one mentorship. Held in a private mountain setting near Denver, it offers a rare opportunity to go deep with genuine guidance.
Most meditation retreats offer a schedule of classes in a nice setting. That's fine. But real transformation happens when the container is small enough for individual attention, the teacher has genuine depth, and the environment itself supports letting go. The Ascent Within was designed around these principles - small groups, a teacher who actually sees what's happening in your field, and the raw beauty of the Rocky Mountains as your meditation hall.
Each day begins with silent walking meditation at sunrise. The mountain air and altitude naturally quiet the mind. Throughout the day, Paul guides breathwork sessions, energy clearing practices, and group teachings drawn from Advaita Vedanta, Buddhist meditation, and somatic awareness. Every participant receives a private one-on-one session with Paul - a clairvoyant reading that addresses whatever is most alive in your journey. Evenings are for integration, journaling, and rest.
This retreat welcomes anyone who feels called to go deeper - whether you've been meditating for decades or you're just beginning to feel the pull toward something more. You don't need experience. You need willingness. Many participants are professionals, healers, artists, and seekers who've done plenty of workshops but are ready for something more intimate and real.
There's a reason contemplatives have always sought mountains. The altitude, the silence, the vastness - it all works on you before any practice begins. The retreat is held in a private venue in the Colorado Rockies, close enough to Denver for easy travel but far enough to feel genuinely removed from daily life.
