Dimensional Beings and the Encounters That Change Everything - What Happens When the Veil Thins

You were not hallucinating. The being you perceived in the corner of your vision during the deep meditation. The presence you felt in the room when you were alone. The intelligence that communicated with you during the plant medicine ceremony - not through words but through direct transmission, as if information was being uploaded into your consciousness without the intermediary of language. The entity you encountered in the dream that was more vivid than waking life and that left you with knowledge you did not possess before you slept. This is where it gets interesting. You were not hallucinating. You were perceiving.

The dimensional field is populated. Not only by incarnated consciousnesses occupying three-dimensional bodies but by consciousnesses that operate at bandwidths that the three-dimensional perceptual apparatus cannot normally detect. The Vedic tradition catalogues these beings extensively: devas, asuras, gandharvas, apsaras, yakshas, nagas, rishis, siddhas, and the vast hierarchy of consciousnesses that populate the sukshma (subtle) and karana (causal) dimensions. The Buddhist tradition describes devas and hungry ghosts and beings in the form and formless realms. The shamanic traditions describe spirit allies, power animals, ancestors, and the beings that populate the upper and lower worlds. The Christian tradition describes angels and archangels. The Islamic tradition describes djinn. Every tradition, on every continent, across every era of human history, describes the same thing: non-physical intelligent entities that occupy dimensions adjacent to but distinct from the three-dimensional world that the incarnated human consciousness normally perceives.

The consistency of these reports across cultures that had no contact with each other is the strongest evidence available that the beings are real. Not real in the material sense - they do not have bodies composed of baryonic matter. Real in the dimensional sense - they are consciousnesses operating at bandwidths that intersect with but are not identical to the bandwidth that the human perceptual apparatus normally processes. When the bandwidth widens - through meditation, through plant medicine, through spontaneous opening, through the thinning that occurs in certain locations and at certain times - the beings become perceptible. Not because they arrived. Because the filter that was preventing their perception was temporarily adjusted.

What the Encounters Actually Are

When you encounter a dimensional being, you are not meeting an alien from another planet. You are meeting a consciousness from another bandwidth. The difference is crucial. An alien from another planet is a being from another location in three-dimensional space. A dimensional being is a being from another location in the dimensional spectrum - a different frequency of consciousness that occupies the same spatial coordinates you do but is normally invisible because your perceptual apparatus is tuned to a different band.

The encounter typically involves one or more of the following: visual perception (seeing a form that is not produced by three-dimensional light), auditory perception (hearing communication that is not produced by three-dimensional sound waves), kinesthetic perception (feeling a presence as a somatic sensation - warmth, pressure, electricity, vibration), and direct knowing (receiving information that arrives fully formed in awareness without sensory input). The quality of the perception varies with the bandwidth of the perceiver. A perceiver whose bandwidth is barely wider than normal will perceive the being as a vague presence - an indistinct feeling of something there. A perceiver whose bandwidth is significantly wider will perceive the being with the same clarity and detail that ordinary perception provides for three-dimensional objects. Explore more in our consciousness guide.

I have encountered dimensional beings throughout my thirty years of intuitive practice. The encounters were the most radical experiences of my spiritual life - more earth-shaking than any human teaching, any text, any practice. Because the encounter is not a teaching about multidimensional reality. It is the experience of multidimensional reality. The being that you perceive is not telling you that other dimensions exist. It is demonstrating, through its perceivable presence, that other dimensions exist. And the demonstration, once experienced, changes the experiential foundation of your worldview in a way that no intellectual argument can.

Years ago, I sat with a woman who couldn't speak about her grief without shaking violently. Her body refused to hold the pain, and neither would her mind. So we worked with breath and trembling, letting the nervous system do what it needed to do. After hours, she came back to her voice - softer, clearer, but fiercely present. That raw release opened a doorway no words could have unlocked. I remember a night at Amma's ashram when the usual hum of peace was pierced by a sudden wave of darkness inside me. The ego chipped away, layer by layer, while I sat on the cold floor, resisting every urge to flee. In that brutal stillness, I wasn't just a student anymore. I was a witness to my own collapse and the quiet stirrings of rebirth. The veil thinned in ways no scripture had prepared me for.

Light Beings and the Transmission of Higher-Dimensional Intelligence

Among the dimensional beings that the seeker may encounter, the most significant are the beings that the traditions call light beings, angels, or devic intelligences. These are consciousnesses that operate at the upper ranges of the dimensional spectrum - consciousnesses whose perceptual bandwidth is so wide that they perceive the cosmos with a clarity that the incarnated human consciousness can barely imagine. They are not gods. They are not omniscient. They are consciousnesses further along the evolutionary trajectory of self-knowledge than the human consciousness - beings whose karmic lens has been polished to a degree of transparency that allows them to perceive dimensions that the human lens is still too distorted to detect. Paul explores this deeply in The Electric Rose.

The light beings communicate through transmission rather than language. The transmission is not a message. It is a frequency. The being transmits the frequency of its own awareness into the consciousness of the perceiver, and the perceiver's consciousness is temporarily elevated to the bandwidth of the being. The elevation is experienced as sudden, overwhelming clarity - a widening of perception that includes not only information but the experiential context of the information. You do not just learn something. You become something - temporarily, for the duration of the transmission. Your consciousness operates at the bandwidth of the being for the seconds or minutes that the transmission lasts. And during those seconds, you perceive reality as the being perceives it - with a breadth, a depth, a luminosity that your ordinary consciousness cannot generate.

The transmission does not produce permanent elevation. The consciousness returns to its ordinary bandwidth after the encounter. But the experience leaves a residue - a vibrational imprint in the consciousness that serves as a reference point for future practice. You now know what the wider bandwidth feels like. You have experienced it directly. And the experience, like all experiential knowledge, is more powerful than any intellectual understanding because it provides the felt sense of the destination that the practice is moving toward. The light being did not give you a map. It gave you a taste. And the taste - of the clarity, the love, the dimensionally expanded perception that the being inhabits - is the motivation that sustains the practice long after the encounter has faded from sensory memory.

Ceremonial cacao is a gentle heart-opener ~ nothing like the processed chocolate most people know. *(paid link)* This stuff comes from sacred traditions where cacao was called "food of the gods" for good reason. It doesn't hit you like coffee or give you some sugar rush. Instead, it opens you up slowly. Think warm waves through your chest. Your heart space literally expands, and suddenly you're more receptive to whatever wants to come through. I've seen people have their first real interdimensional contact after drinking ceremonial cacao. Are you with me? It's like the plant spirit creates this bridge between worlds ~ softening the boundaries that usually keep us locked into ordinary reality.

Discernment in Dimensional Encounters

Not all dimensional beings are light beings. The dimensional field contains consciousnesses at every level of the spectrum - including levels that are lower, more contracted, and more karmically distorted than the human level. Think about that. The being that communicates with you during a ceremony is not automatically wise, benevolent, or trustworthy simply because it is non-physical. A non-physical being can be as confused, as manipulative, and as karmically burdened as any physical being. Hell, sometimes they're worse because they've been stuck in their patterns longer than we have. The absence of a body does not guarantee the presence of wisdom. I've encountered entities that were petty as fuck - jealous of human experience, desperate for attention, feeding off drama and confusion. Just because something can speak to you telepathically doesn't mean it has your best interests at heart. Some of these beings are basically interdimensional trolls, and they love finding humans who think everything non-physical is automatically sacred.

The discernment criteria are somatic rather than cognitive. The light being's transmission produces expansion in the body - the chest opens, the breath deepens, the body fills with warmth. The lower-bandwidth being's transmission produces contraction - the gut tightens, the shoulders rise, the body braces. Your body's response to the dimensional encounter is your most reliable discernment tool because the body responds to frequency rather than content. A lower-bandwidth being can transmit content that sounds wise. But the frequency of the transmission - which the body detects beneath the content - reveals the actual dimensional level of the being. Trust the body. If the encounter produces contraction, the being is not at a level from which trustworthy guidance can be transmitted. Disengage. If the encounter produces expansion - if the body opens, if the perception widens, if the heart responds with the particular recognition that only a genuine dimensional contact produces - then you are in the presence of an intelligence that operates at a bandwidth higher than your ordinary consciousness. Receive the transmission with humility and discernment. Do not deify the being. Do not worship it. Do not surrender your agency to it. Know what I mean?Receive its frequency as a gift and a reference point. And then return to your practice - to the daily, embodied, unglamorous work of polishing your own karmic lens to the point where the bandwidth the being demonstrated becomes not a visit but a residence. The being showed you where you are going. The practice is how you get there. And the getting there - the patient, incarnation-by-incarnation polishing of the lens toward the transparency that the light beings have achieved - is the journey. The encounter was the motivation. The journey is yours. You might also find insight in Sitting with Discomfort - The Single Most Underrated Skil....

You are not a body having a spiritual experience. You are the infinite having a temporary experience of limitation. And the limitation is ending. This isn't philosophy ~ it's physics. The boundaries you think define you? They're dissolving whether you're ready or not. Some people feel this as panic. Others as liberation. Both are correct. I've watched people go through this dissolution for years now, and here's what I notice: the ones who cling to their old identity suffer like hell. The ones who let go? They discover they were never small to begin with. Wild, right? Your nervous system might be screaming because it was designed to keep you safe in a fixed reality. But that reality was always an illusion. The question isn't whether this shift is happening... it's whether you'll fight it or flow with it. Your choice determines everything. Fight it, and you'll feel like you're being torn apart. Flow with it, and you realize you're remembering what you actually are. If this connects, consider an working with Paul directly.
